Zooming in and holding on
I've been taking photos for years, up close for grounding and gratitude. To help me feel present in the moment, anchored by the play of light on a leaf, or a new shoot of Spring. Held steady from the shaking in my body of trauma behind me and the uncertainty of what's ahead. It's helped me put one foot in front of the other and keep going in a new life. For years, I did it because I needed that tether of noticing. Now I do it because I love it.
