When I was a child I often suffered from a sore throat and this continued into my adult life. I tried everything - anti-septic sprays, propolis sprays, lozenges, the lot. Nothing really gave much relief. Since I discovered Ayurveda and the wonders of honey, I now have a remedy on hand in my kitchen cupboard that can soothe sore throats in an instant.
And here it is...
take 1 teaspoonful of liquid honey
mix into it a good pinch of turmeric powder
then lick the mixture slowly from the spoon
This works immediately to give relief. The honey soothes the throat and the turmeric gets to work on the inflammation and underlying problem. You can repeat this as needed. It's been a really useful remedy for all our family and it's great to know that I have something natural and effective on hand for my daughter that saves her from the days of discomfort I went though as a child.

As a fellow Squarespace-user, I wonder if you could help me with som answers to some questions ?
Here goes :
1. In the sidebar you hav "themes and recent posts" - is that possible in the "basic" version of Squarespace ?
2. How did you get the orange RSS icon in the sidebar ?
Anyway, I wish you a merry christmas and a happy new year !
regards, Geir Werner, Norway
I'll try and answer your questions as best I can here.
Firstly re: Themes & Recent posts - yes you can have that in the basic version of Squarespace. It's simply done by renaming the navigation bar title for the journal being displayed in that module. You can call it anything you want. My journal/blog is set up to run as a passthrough module in it's own module section - that gives it it's own title and facility to list recent posts.
Re: the orange RSS feed icon. My RSS subscriptions are driven by feedburner so instead of using Squarespace's automatic feed generator I made an html page for my feed subscriptions and inserted the orange rss feed icon as you would any image in a page, then I made the page into a passthrough module under the "structure and style" and then "architecture" settings so that it's contents show up in the sidebar.
I hope that helps.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New year to you too :-)
with best wishes
