Life Below the Neck

More and more of us are spending our lives in front of a screen of one sort or another - computer screen, TV screen, windscreen…

One result of this is that we are living in our heads and out of our bodies. Unless we get physical occasionally this can lead to a sense of ungroundedness that might makes us feel disconnected or light-headed - it can also make us gain weight as the body becomes inert and also seeks to gain ground to tether down our heads.

To get things back in balance and benefit the body by burning off some accumulated adrenaline try a daily burst of one of the following:

brisk walks
slow, deep breathing
stretching
dancing to music
drumming
gardening
cooking

or anything else you can think of that is earthy and relaxing.
